Leadership is one of the urgent and vital things that directs an organization towards the desired end result. One of the interesting leadership styles to study is charismatic leadership. This study tries to describe the definition of charismatic leadership and analyze it in the context of educational management practiced by the principal as the leader of an educational institution. This study has a qualitative paradigm. This study takes data in the form of understanding and concepts of educational management and charismatic leadership. Based on this study, it can be concluded that charismatic leadership is a leadership style of a leader who is able to influence and move the people he leads. The urgency of charismatic leadership for a principal includes planning carried out through deliberation and openness and supported by subordinates, organizing can be done easily and proportionally, actuating is very effective according to plan because of high loyalty to the figure of the principal, and supervision is very effective due to the principal's ability to build relationships and a reliable public speaker.
